July 18 - Carcross

Left the camper at Squanga and did a side trip to Carcross. Saw the Carcross Desert, which is actually an ancient Lake. Sand was beautiful there!

Drove past Carcross to see Bove Island, very pretty.

And lots of little shops in Carcross, lots of tourists too!  We didn’t buy anything but it was interesting to look.

    Well that is a new one for me...didn't realize there was a dessert that far north! Very neat landscape.
